Federal judge orders dry ports on strike to ship products
A customs strike cannot completely prevent the dispatch of exported goods. With this understanding, judge Márcio Martins de Oliveira, from the 13th Federal Court of São Paulo, determined that the Interior Customs Stations (EADIs) – also known as dry ports – in the cities of São Paulo, Barueri, Santo André and São Bernardo do Campo , carry out all customs clearances and checks.
Tax auditors have been paralyzed B2B Lead for a few months and this has hampered Customs clearance throughout Brazil. The request for an injunction was made by the Union of Dispatch Commissioners, Cargo Agents and Logistics of São Paulo (Sindicomis), in favor of a group of companies represented by it.
“Considering that the TRF of the 3rd Region, in similar cases, has already decided that the outbreak of a strike should not impede the progress of customs clearance of exported goods, under penalty of harming the continuity of public services and causing excessive burdens on the interests of those administered , the postulated injunction must be granted”, said the judge.

Last July 27, a decision by judge Fábio Prieto, from the 6th class of the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region, granted the request for an injunction/anticipation of protection, also requested by SINDICOMIS, granting a period of eight days for all customs clearances at the Port of Santos.
